We are a group of Catholic women who follow the principles of unity, sisterly love, and protection - the golden links to the Christian virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity. The San Buenaventura YLI #160 was founded on June 23, 1940. Sixty-seven women were charter members of the organization. Our almost 85-year history reflects sisterly care and concern for each other. We are joined together in the mission of praying and supporting one another, our families, our parishes, and our communities... And we have fun, too!
Our charity projects support our community and our Church. Local projects currently include: support for newborns and their moms, school age children, those needing basic necessities, Seniors needing assistance, Catholic education, education for men to the priesthood, gifts to local parishes, and the Annual Grand President's project.
We meet monthly on the second Monday at 11:00 a.m. In the Santa Cruz Rom* of the parish center. Our meetings follow Roberts Rule of Order and last about an hour, followed by lunch. The "birthday girls" from the previous month prepare lunch for the group. There is a $5 suggested donation for lunch.
*Please call to confirm location before attending. Membership application link is listed below.
